My name is Ilda Cruz and I have been a dentist since 1994. I graduated from the Institute of Dental Sciences in Porto (ISCDP). One of the great motivations, and what influenced me, was the fact that, in my family there were already dentists (father and uncle). At university I realised that the speciality I liked the most was Paediatric Dentistry.

When I completed my degree, I had the opportunity to join the team at Clinica Dentária D’avenida de Gaia, in the Paediatric Dentistry area which, by then, was already operating with the specialities to which I have dedicated myself exclusively for the last 22 years.

In order to improve my knowledge in this particular area, I completed a post-graduation course at the International Institute Dental Cience (IIDC) in Interceptive and Preventive Orthodontics.

The smiles and hugs from each child are the confirmation and appreciation of the dedication I show them every day. The trust in my work and dedication to them, that once were children, today are parents and proudly tell their children “This was my dentist when I was little…”.
