Ceramic dental veneers
Dental veneers are very thin (usually less than 1mm) ceramic veneers that are bonded to natural teeth. A perfect smile can be achieved by improving the shape, length, volume, orientation and colour of the teeth
Correct the imperfections of your teeth with ceramic dental veneers
An evaluation appointment is always necessary to make the diagnosis and treatment plan. Sometimes, it is necessary to perform treatments prior to the placement of dental veneers, such as scaling, treatment of caries, internal or external whitening. Excellent aesthetic and functional results are achieved, as it is possible to change the shape, length, volume, orientation and colour of the teeth. Dental veneers stand out for their longevity, high resistance and excellent optical properties, and the difference to natural teeth is not perceptible. The necessary care is the same as for natural teeth, good oral hygiene and routine check-ups with your dentist.
Ceramic veneers are made in a laboratory, with an appearance very similar to the natural tooth. Rehabilitation with veneers is a conservative and minimally invasive treatment that allows the maximum preservation of the teeth. The preparation of the teeth for the placement of dental veneers involves minimal or even, in some cases, no abrasion. They are custom designed to fit the smile and face of each patient. After being bonded to the teeth, the veneers have a resistance and elasticity similar to dental enamel.
They can be placed to correct teeth with altered colour, misaligned teeth, worn teeth, fractured teeth, crowded teeth (overlapping) and teeth with diastemas (gaps between teeth).
the treatment
Dental ceramic veneers step by step
1. Diagnosis
An evaluation appointment is always necessary to determine the most suitable treatment plan for each patient. After X-rays, photographs and moulds have been taken, it is possible to see a simulation (mock up) before starting the treatment, allowing the patient to assess if the final result is going to be satisfactory
2. Pre-treatments
Sometimes it is necessary to perform treatments prior to the placement of veneers, such as scaling, treatment of caries, internal or external whitening, in order to achieve the best possible final result.
3. Placement
The preparation of the teeth is previously programmed and involves minimal or, in some cases, no abrasion. Before the veneers are placed, their adaptation and aesthetics are always checked, allowing the patient to give the final approval.
WHY CHOOSE VENEERS
Advantages of Dental Veneers
Quick
After pre-treatments are completed, when necessary, the placement of ceramic veneers is usually done in one month, between 3 to 4 appointments.
Durability
They have great stability over the years because they have very similar properties to natural tooth enamel, and only require the same care as natural teeth.
Conservative
They are a conservative and minimally invasive treatment promoting good periodontal health (healthy gums) and pulp vitality (teeth do not need root canal treatment).
Tailor-made
They are an aesthetic and functional treatment of excellence. They allow patients to change the appearance of their teeth and achieve the smile they have always wanted.

The treatment is not painful. Veneers require a very thorough technique and, therefore, the appointments are of a longer duration.
